Two XVs + Mokum

Men's rugby.

The men's section runs two XVs plus the Mokum combination side, entered jointly with Rugby Club Amsterdam — more than 100 players of 20-plus nationalities across the senior squads. The 1st XV plays in the Ereklasse, the Dutch top division; the 2nd XV stepped up to the Eersteklasse for 2026–27 with a fourth promotion in four seasons.

For 2026/27 the 1st XV opens a new chapter under Daniel Geurs, a Sydney-born coach appointed in May 2026 after twelve years in Sydney's Shute Shield, two in the Netherlands and a spell coaching Singapore's national team.

The third side · Mokum

Mokum is AAC's social and veterans rugby — new starters, returners, and the old hands who built the club. Entered jointly with Rugby Club Amsterdam, it's the usual first landing pad for internationals arriving in Amsterdam: one run-out a week, no pressure, clubhouse after.

Eight-time national champions

Women's rugby.

Eight-time national champions and 2024–25 Dames Ereklasse winners, AAC's women are the second most successful women's club in the Netherlands all-time — behind only SRC Thor (12 titles), ahead of RUS Utrecht (6). They reached the 2025–26 final on 30 May and finished runners-up to RC Waterland.

A single XV carries the section, built on a simple idea: rugby has a place for every shape and temperament. Competitive ambition on the pitch; barbecues, tournaments and an annual trip off it. Five AAC women feature in the Netherlands' senior and development pools.

Seven age groups, from age 6

Youth rugby.

The youth section welcomes children from age six; most start between eight and twelve, and no experience is needed. Seven age groups carry players all the way to the senior game, with a recent class sending six players into Netherlands age-grade squads in a single season.

AAC also runs a joint schools rugby-education project in Amsterdam-West with neighbouring RugbyClub Amsterdam, plus a shared Colts cluster so both clubs can field a full under-18 age group.

Getting started.

You don't need experience or a rugby background to start. Many of our members played their first game here — a lot of them internationals who arrived in Amsterdam and wanted a way in. Coaching starts from the basics.

The simplest thing is to come to a session: boots and a mouthguard if you have them, and if not, come anyway.
