Awards season: the club honours its 2025/26 winners

Noah Bushnell, Julia Morauw and Juan Vernengo take the coaches' Player of the Year awards, the players name their own winners, and the 2nd XV collect their red ties.

The 2025/26 season got its proper send-off this week, as the club came together to hand out the end-of-season awards and to mark what each side achieved this year.

Coaches’ Player of the Year

Three players were singled out by their coaches for the season they put together:

  • Noah Bushnell — Men’s 1st XV
  • Julia Morauw — Women’s 1st XV
  • Juan Vernengo — Men’s 2nd XV

The players’ choice

The playing group also voted for their own winners, and they doubled up on one name: Noah Bushnell took the 1st XV Player of the Year from his teammates as well as his coaches.

  • Noah Bushnell — 1st team Player of the Year
  • Gaby Kop — 1st team Talent of the Year
  • Jakeb — 2nd team Player of the Year
  • Riva Valk — Women’s Player of the Year
  • Imme Bevers — Women’s Talent of the Year

Red ties for the 2nd XV

There was one more piece of club tradition to honour. Every player who is part of an AAC team that wins promotion earns a red tie — and after May’s play-off win at Gouda sealed a fourth promotion in four seasons, the entire 2nd XV squad collected theirs together.

The finalists

And the women’s 1st XV closed their year together too, celebrating a season that ended with a second consecutive Dames Ereklasse final. Congratulations to the whole squad on another year among the very best in the country.

Congratulations to all the winners, and to every player, coach and volunteer who carried the season. Pre-season starts soon enough at Sportpark De Eendracht — see you there.
