The squads.

Three men's XVs — the 3rd entered jointly with RCA — a women's XV and a full youth section: around 500 players, with youth from age six and adult rugby from 18+, all under one set of colours.

Three XVs

Men's rugby.

The men's section runs three XVs — the 3rd is entered jointly with Rugby Club Amsterdam — more than 100 players of 20-plus nationalities across the senior squads. The 1st XV plays in the Ereklasse, the Dutch top division. The 2nd XV enters the Eersteklasse, one tier below, for 2026–27 after a fourth promotion in four seasons.

For 2026–27 the 1st XV is coached by Daniel Geurs, a Sydney-born coach appointed in May 2026 after twelve years in Sydney's Shute Shield, two in the Netherlands and a spell coaching Singapore's national team.

The 3rd XV

AAC's 3rd XV is the social men's side for adult players of all ages (18+) who prefer social rugby or have less predictable availability. AAC enters the side jointly with Rugby Club Amsterdam.

Eight-time national champions

Women's rugby.

Eight-time national champions and 2024–25 Dames Ereklasse winners, AAC's women are the second most successful women's club in the Netherlands all-time — behind only SRC Thor (12 titles), ahead of RUS Utrecht (6). They reached the 2025–26 final on 30 May and finished runners-up to RC Waterland.

First-time and experienced players train together in one XV on Tuesday and Thursday. The squad plays in the Dames Ereklasse and meets for club events throughout the season. Five AAC women feature in the Netherlands' senior and development pools.

Club honours

The honours register.

AAC Rugby originated from the athletics club AAC. This heritage is reflected in the list below of honorary members, honorary chairpersons, and members of merit. Without the unwavering dedication of these individuals, AAC Rugby would not be the club it is today.

We are therefore deeply grateful for all the time, energy, and commitment that the members listed below have invested in AAC Rugby entirely on a voluntary basis and without any form of compensation. Their contribution has played an invaluable role in shaping and sustaining our club.

The clubhouse register was updated 27 January 2024. The section column preserves whether each appointment was recorded under Athletics, Athletics & rugby, or Rugby.
