Meet the new players: Ez, Harry, Gus and Frankie

Four new players join the men's squad for 2026/27 — a prop from Papakura and three Australians from Sydney club rugby. They introduce themselves.

Four new players join the men’s squad for 2026/27. The first arrivals land in early August. Here they introduce themselves.

Ezrome Losefa (“Ez”)

  • Age: 23
  • Nationality: Samoan
  • Hometown: Papakura, New Zealand
  • Position: Prop
  • Previous clubs: Takapuna Rugby, Manurewa Rugby Club
  • Occupation: Transition to Adulthood worker

Why did you choose AAC Rugby? I chose AAC because it was a family oriented club and head coach Daniel Geurs cares for his players.

What are you looking forward to most this season? I’m looking forward to meeting everyone and getting to work. Most importantly winning this competition.

What is something you definitely want to learn or experience in the Netherlands? I want to play 18 holes of golf here in the Netherlands.

Fun fact about yourself: I love to play golf and I love crossfit.

Favourite rugby player: Ardie Savea

Favourite rugby team: My favourite rugby team is the All Blacks.

Favourite post-match drink: My favourite post match drink is chocolate milk. Good for recovery.

Favourite food: I’m a big fan of KFC and raw fish.

What makes you cringe? People that put others down.

What would your mother say about you? She would say that I can train the house down but also eat the house down too.

And what would your friends say about you? Friends would say that I’m humble, caring and an awesome golfer.

One word your teammates should remember you by: Humble

Harry White

  • Age: 22
  • Nationality: Australian
  • Hometown: Sydney
  • Position: Halfback (scrum-half)
  • Previous clubs: Northern Suburbs (Sydney), East Grinstead (England)
  • Occupation: Bartender while studying Sports Business

What are you looking forward to most this season? Seeing what Dutch rugby has to offer.

What is something you definitely want to learn or experience in the Netherlands? Living in Amsterdam.

Angus James (“Gus”)

  • Position: Inside centre
  • Previous clubs: Norths (Sydney)
  • Occupation: Audit & Assurance — studying to become a Chartered Accountant

Why did you choose AAC Rugby? A great opportunity to play overseas in a beautiful part of the world.

What are you looking forward to most this season? Meeting new people and playing some good rugby.

What is something you definitely want to learn or experience in the Netherlands? How to grow taller.

Frankie Dunkin

  • Age: 23
  • Nationality: Australian
  • Hometown: Sydney
  • Position: Flyhalf / fullback
  • Previous clubs: Northern Suburbs, Mosman Whales
  • Occupation: Operating Theatres Assistant, just completed a Bachelor of Commerce

Why did you choose AAC Rugby? I was put in touch with Dan Geurs by a mutual friend who has played under him. Dan presented an amazing opportunity I couldn’t pass up.

What are you looking forward to most this season? Living in Amsterdam with two of my close mates, making new mates at the club, and playing in a different environment from Australia.

What is something you definitely want to learn or experience in the Netherlands? I’d like to learn some Dutch.

Fun fact about yourself: I’ve never lived out of home.
