Rugby is growing in Amsterdam

Rugby clinics have run at 't Koggeschip, De Veerkracht and NextGen in the Olympic Stadium. AAC takes part in the Amsterdam Sport- en Beweegweek from 18 to 27 September.

We are working on the future of rugby in Amsterdam. Together with schools across the city, we have now run several rugby clinics — at ‘t Koggeschip, De Veerkracht and at NextGen in the Olympic Stadium. The enthusiastic reactions show there is plenty of interest.

After the summer we will expand this collaboration further. We are also taking part in the Amsterdam Sport- en Beweegweek from 18 to 27 September, organised by Amsterdam Beweegt.

Step by step, we are introducing more and more children to rugby.

The schools work runs through the Mokum Rugby Schools Programme, coordinated by Martin Slagt. If you would like to help as a Schools Rugby Activity Leader (Spelbegeleider), get in touch with Martin — see Behind the scenes: preparing for 2026/27.
